Intensives:
These dynamic workshops are designed for passionate students who want to research, write, and share ideas that can make a meaningful impact on the world. Participants will explore real issues within current systems, whether educational, social, environmental, cultural, or community-based, and develop thoughtful, solution-driven writing that offers hope, insight, and possibility.
Students will engage in college-level research while moving through a structured writing process that helps them discover and refine an idea worth sharing. Through collaboration, discussion, and mentorship, they will learn how to communicate complex thinking clearly and powerfully, share ideas respectfully, challenge one another thoughtfully, and build on each other’s thinking — skills essential to both academic and real-world problem solving.
Because of the intensity and rigor of this workshop, students are selected based on demonstrated readiness for advanced research, independent thinking, and sustained writing. The small cohort ensures a community of motivated learners who can challenge and elevate one another.
Dream Curriculum Book Project
*Application or invitation only (May 30th-July 30th)
Includes: Four 1hr group meetings & 10-15 hrs of one-on-one time
In this workshop, students will read books and scholarly sources to write with credibility and impact — aiming to influence real readers, not just earn a score. They’ll analyze multiple perspectives, support their ideas with evidence, and build the critical thinking skills of college-level researchers. Then comes the most challenging part: synthesizing it all. Students will craft an engaging, research-supported chapter, illustrated with examples of their work, that makes a persuasive case to educators and the public for an approach to education that develops creative thinkers, strong communicators, and lifelong learners who can meaningfully contribute to society. In addition to honing research and writing skills, they’ll experience the full research process firsthand, a set of critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are invaluable in business, life, and college.
