The Finch Classic is our original recipe — a broadly appealing writing workshop with a vibrant creative community for learning. Our Finch Advanced workshop is a class for avid and particularly curious writers to further practice and hone their skills. Through sophisticated mentor texts, tailored exercises, and guided conversation our aim is to provide a high calibre of learning. This class is perfect for keen readers and writers of any genre — those who want to focus on developing projects, like novels, short story pieces, college essays and poetry anthologies; or those who simply want to be part of a group that shares their writing passion and are curious to grow. Intro to Writing

Our Intro to Writing course is solely devoted to developing writing fundamentals, story structure, punctuation/grammar, and igniting a genuine passion for writing! Full of inspiring readings and writing prompts, the primary purpose is to plant a seed of interest, so that our 3rd-5th graders see writing as a useful and fun practice rather than a chore.
